NorCal Extreme listservers provide an easy way for team members to communicate. A "listserv" is software (called Mailman) running on the NorCal Extreme server which automatically distributes e-mail messages to everyone subscribed to a particular list. Each team has its own list, as do the coaches and the board of directors. New players and their families are automatically subscribed to appropriate team lists and the "everyone" list which includes everyone in the entire organization. You will be sent a monthly reminder on how to customize your subscriptions, though most people will be happy with the defaults and can safely ignore/delete these messages. Please note that the passwords sent in these reminders have nothing to do with viewing the team rosters. (There is a single username and password combination for the rosters -- write to John Steggall if you cannot remember them).

Feel free to mail announcements to any list but note that there are some constraints which are designed to limit distribution of e-mail viruses and spam. First, messages posted to lists to which you are not subscribed require approval (this may take up to a day, though you may write John Steggall if you'd like to expedite the process). Second, messages which are greater than 100 KB require approval (this eliminates many e-mail viruses). If your web browser or mail program is configured properly, you may click on the links below to send mail to a list. Alternatively, you may simply address mail to <listname>@norcalextreme.org, e.g., 10s@norcalextreme.org or 14s@norcalextreme.org.
